Concept
Artisan is a community-driven online marketplace app that is currently in the process of being built as an MVP. Its purpose and mission are to connect artists with each other in a way that allows them to benefit from both the relationship and their shop, should they choose to sell on the app. As someone who goes to an art school, I know the importance of creative community, and that serves as a foundation for this project.
With the help of a development team, the MVP/app should be released in Spring of 2026.
The point of Artisan is to connect with Gen-Z creatives and I thought that the trendy, minimal aesthetic wouldn't work out because they are starting to prefer more elaborate designs instead of ones that are stripped down. I wanted to make something vibrant but modern enough to be a good app in 2026.
I wanted Artisan's logo to be creative yet easy to understand. I thought that an easel in the shape of a letter "A" with a piece of artwork on it was the perfect logo for the app.
The app icon should be memorable and modern. The gradient with the icon logo made way for the app to stand out while blending on someone's device.
The wireframe sketches are an extremely lo-fi version of what the onboarding, home, profile, settings, notifications, inbox, discover, and upload flows should look like. Some nuances aren't included. However, they are included within the actual prototype.
Prototype
Website
After the prototype was finished, I decided to work on and vibe-code the website in Cursor while maintaining the same UI for cohesive branding. It was a simple landing page meant to collect emails and track progress, but it's very effective.
Here is the link to the website: Artisan Website
Email Template
Now that the website was up and running, I had to connect the website to the MailerLite API and have it be able to collect emails. Then, I vibe-coded the email template in HTML with Cursor using the same branding and UI to maintain a consistent visual identity.
WORK IN PROGRESS
This project is actively being designed and developed. As development continues, I will update this page with new progress, technical notes, and release timelines.
